Sattanar

history

Sattanar is the contemporary writer of the epic called Manimekalai, who lived in the period of Ilango Adigal. He was also known as Seethalai Sattanar. This is due to the fact that he hails from the village Seethalai. Furthermore, he constantly hit forehead until it bled when thinking or contemplating an issue.
