Margaret Peterson Haddix

Margaret Peterson Haddix (born April 9, 1964) is an American author of many books, her most known series being the Missing series and the Shadow Children sequence. She is set to write the tenth and final book in Scholastic's 39 Clues series. Her book will come out September 1, 2010.

Biography

She received a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism from Miami University in 1986. She worked as a newspaper copy editor in Fort Wayne, Indiana; as a newspaper reporter in Indianapolis; and as a community college instructor and freelance writer in Danville, Illinois. Haddix and her husband, Doug , a newspaper editor, now live in Columbus, Ohio, with their two children, Meredith and Connor.

Works

Haddix will also be writing the tenth and final book in The 39 Clues series, which will be published September 2010.

Awards

The works of Margaret Haddix have been honored with the International Reading Association Children's Book Award, American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults and Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers citations, and state readers' choice lists in over twenty-eight states.
