Ivan Vicelich (born September 3, 1976 in Auckland) is a New Zealand soccer player, who currently plays as a midfielder for Auckland City FC in the New Zealand Football Championship. Ivan's heritage is Croatian.
Club career
Vicelich played for Waitakere City F.C. and Central United before establishing himself as one of the best players for the Football Kingz, when the Auckland based club joined the Australian National Soccer League in 1999.
Thanks to the contacts he made through his Football Kingz colleague, John Lammers, he was able to impress Roda JC, with whom he signed in 2001. Since 2002, Ivan Vicelich had been a regular player for Roda JC. In May 2006 he signed a 2 year contract at Dutch Eerste divisie club RKC Waalwijk He Has Recently Signed With Auckland City FC in The New Zealand Football Championship Ivan Vicelich Retired From Internationals In 2008
International career
Vicelich made his full New Zealand debut with a substitute appearance in a 0-7 loss against Uruguay on June 25, 1995 and went on to earn 63 caps (including 56 A-internationals), scoring 6 goals.His final cap was in a 4-1 World Cup qualifier win over Vanuatu on November 25, 2007.
On August 16, 2008 Vicelich announced his retirement from international football.
