Ireland at the 2002 Winter Olympics

Ireland competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United States.

Although they competed bravely, the Irish team failed to secure any medals. The amateur status of many winter sports in Ireland contributed to their lack of competitiveness with nations more in tune with the winter sports culture, such as Switzerland.The only highlight was a 4th place finish from Clifton Wrottesley in the Skeleton event.
