Bill Mauk
historyBill Mauk is an attorney from Boise, Idaho. Mauk was the 1998 Democratic nominee for the open United States Senate seat in Idaho vacated by Dirk Kempthorne. He was defeated by Republican Congressman Mike Crapo.
Mauk is locally noted as a prominent defense attorney. In the 1980s he represented Claude Dallas during his trial for the 1981 murder of two Idaho Fish and Game officers.
In the 1990s Mauk served as chairman of the Idaho Democratic Party.
